Creating an Account

JSC provides users with a single interface to supercomputers and other services through a user portal called JuDoor.

To access JUNIQ Cloud and its quantum computing resources, you need to create a JuDoor account and complete the authentication process as described below.

Step 1: Create a JuDoor Account

  1. Visit the login page: Go to https://judoor.fz-juelich.de/login
  1. Register: Click on Register

  2. Provide email: Enter your email address

  3. Confirm registration: Check your email inbox and confirm registration

  4. Complete registration: Fill out the Account registration form and Complete registration

  1. Login credentials: Check your email inbox again for confirmation and use the credentials you chose to login

Step 2: Access JUNIQ Cloud Portal

  1. Access the portal: Go to the JUNIQ Cloud portal at https://juniq.fz-juelich.de/hub/login and login with JuDoor credentials Select Sign in with JSC Account option. You may be asked to allow JUNIQ data access from JuDoor.
  1. Start a new instance: Click on the "New JupyterLab" button.
  2. Select a configuration: Choose the desired configuration options for your JupyterLab instance.
  1. Launch the instance: Click on the "Start" button to start your JupyterLab instance and wait for the server to start (could take a few minutes).

At the end of this step you should have a JupyterLab interface opened which you can use for your interactive computing tasks.

Once your account is set up:

  1. Join a specific project for access to quantum computing resources
  2. Set up Qaptiva access for access to gate-based quantum computers, the Pasqal quantum simulator as well as several digital and analog quantum computer emulators
  3. Learn about available features and resources
