Welcome to JUNIQ Cloud
JUNIQ Cloud is an interactive, browser-based platform designed to provide seamless access to both supercomputing, cloud resources, and quantum computing from the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC). Whether you are working on large-scale simulations, machine learning models, data analytics, or quantum computing research, JUNIQ Cloud gives you the flexibility to perform these tasks interactively through familiar Jupyter Notebooks.
JUNIQ Cloud is a Jupyter-based platform that provides access to various quantum computing resources, including D-Wave quantum annealers and other quantum computing platforms with various QPUs including gate based quantum computers, quantum simulators, and more.
For users with HPC accounts, you can harness the power of JSC's supercomputers like JUWELS, JURECA and more. Additionally, users without HPC accounts can still benefit from the platform by utilizing JSC-Cloud resources.
Why Use JUNIQ Cloud?
JUNIQ Cloud is the recommended way to access the Quantum Computing resources at JUNIQ facility. By using JUNIQ Cloud, you gain access to:
1. Quantum Computing Resources
JUNIQ Cloud provides access to cutting-edge quantum computing platforms including D-Wave quantum annealers and other quantum computing platforms with various QPUs including gate based quantum computers, quantum simulators, and more.
2. Supercomputing and Cloud Power in Your Browser
JUNIQ Cloud connects you to world-class supercomputing systems such as JUWELS, JURECA and more. But even if you don't have access to HPC resources, you can still use JSC-Cloud, offering scalable computing power for your workflows, including smaller data analysis tasks, web applications, and development environments.
3. Easy-to-Use Interface
The platform uses the popular Jupyter Notebook interface, making it easy for users of all skill levels to interact with powerful computational and quantum resources. Whether you're using HPC resources, cloud, or quantum computers, you can run code, develop models, and perform analyses all from your web browser.
4. Scalable Workflows
With JUNIQ Cloud, you can start with lightweight jobs on the JSC-Cloud or scale up to thousands of cores and GPUs on HPC systems for large-scale simulations and analysis, or utilize quantum resources for specialized quantum algorithms.
5. Interactive Development
Develop and test code interactively with instant feedback, enabling fast iteration of data science workflows, simulations, machine learning models, and quantum algorithms. You can choose between the HPC infrastructure, cloud, or quantum computing based on your project's needs.
6. Use Custom Docker Images
JUNIQ Cloud supports custom Docker images, meaning you can define and use your own computing environment. This flexibility allows you to pre-install specific dependencies, configure your environment exactly as needed, and run reproducible computational workflows across multiple sessions.
7. GitHub-Based Environment with Binder
Through repo2docker integration, JUNIQ Cloud allows you to use the mybinder.org infrastructure to build Docker images directly from your GitHub repositories. This feature enables you to turn a GitHub repo into a fully functional environment without manually building Docker images, making your code and environment highly portable and shareable.
8. Access to Specialized Libraries and Tools
JUNIQ Cloud provides pre-configured environments with libraries optimized for HPC, cloud, and quantum computing use cases, including scientific computing, machine learning tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and quantum computing frameworks like myQLM, Qiskit, and D-Wave Ocean.
